Traffic Information and Services for Urban Road Users
Yefe Nof Company Ltd. and the Ministry of Transport, Israel, had contracted ITS Israel association to conduct a feasibility study. The study goal is to explore feasible, cost effective concepts to implement Traffic Information and Services for Urban Road Users in Israel.
The feasibility study shall focus on the following stakeholders:
· Municipal Traffic Control Centers
· Driver /Car users at urban areas
· Road Users as 2 wheels drivers and pedestrians
· Public Transportation Users
· Tourists travelling in the urban area
The required services and information includes:
· Road conditions
· Traffic events information such as incidents, maintenance works, public events etc.
· Real time congestion/free flow conditions.
· Parking locations and availability.
· Access information for pedestrians and two wheels drivers
· Trip planning using multi modal transportation planer based on traffic real time information.
· Pollution and emission monitoring information
The information shall be disseminated to road users in various information distribution methods such as:

· Cellular applications
· Radio channels
· Variable Message Signs
· RDS-TMC
· Others
Technology Vendors, Stakeholders and system developers are hereby requested to offer their relevant information, technologies, solutions and capabilities.
